Across four deployments in different regions of Ukraine, we are working with service members and instructors on how the Operator Kit supports training, preparation and mission rehearsal directly at the unit.
What does a Ukrainian service member actually get from the Operator Kit?
The Operator Kit is a portable training system that one person can carry and deploy without needing a dedicated training facility.
In one kit, a unit gets the ability to train close-quarters battle, Counter-UAS operations, marksmanship and tactical decision-making in a controlled but operationally realistic environment.
The Ukrainian response: The strongest reaction came from the Force-on-Force options. It gives service members the opportunity to face a real opposing force and prepare fast and effectively for upcoming deployments.
Mission Planning on the same platform sparked just as much discussion.
Units can recreate a building or operational environment in 3D in a rapid pipeline, rehearse an entry and walk through an operation minutes before carrying it out in reality.
Planning can also be conducted collaboratively without requiring everyone to gather around the same location. In the Ukrainian context, that matters: better preparation with less unnecessary exposure of personnel supports both more confident action and survivability.
But not just that – the threat on coming together in the planning phase is real. Distributed mission planning keeps the planning team safe.
Overall
The feedback was more than positive. It was the kind of response that reminds us why we do this work.
Thank you to every Ukrainian service member and instructor who gave us their time, trust and direct feedback. It is helping us build a system that serves the people who need it most.
