As a Medior Hardware Engineer at RE-liON, you’ll play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of our hardware systems; from initial requirements and prototyping to production and support.
You’ll work closely with industrial designers, electrical engineers, and software developers to bring our solutions to life. You’ll help guide junior team members, optimize technical processes, and ensure high-quality, future-proof hardware designs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing hardware components for training and simulation systems
- Translating customer and project requirements into technical specifications
- Supporting team planning, task division, and project execution
- Collaborating with suppliers and external partners for components and manufacturing
- Documenting designs, decisions, and changes throughout the development cycle
- Participating in hardware evaluations, testing, and quality checks
- Advising colleagues and clients on technical challenges and solutions
- Staying up to date with developments in hardware, industrial design, and electronics
- Contributing to internal knowledge-sharing and process improvement
- Supporting pre-sales efforts with technical input and solution proposals
You’re an engineer who combines technical depth with strong communication skills. You enjoy working in cross-functional teams and are comfortable taking the lead when needed. You’re driven by quality, curious about new technologies, and eager to grow, both individually and with your team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or similar
- 3–5 years of experience in hardware development or product engineering
- Strong knowledge of electronic systems, industrial design, and prototyping
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Altium, or similar)
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams
- Understanding of product development lifecycle and documentation standards
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
- Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential
- Experience in the defense, simulation, or high-tech sectors
- Affinity with embedded systems or mechanical engineering
- Experience guiding or mentoring junior engineers
- Familiarity with Agile or project-based development environments
